  • Conditions

    • If approved, a Livestock Droving Permit will be issued with conditions. Failing to comply with conditions in a permit issued under the Local Law No. 1 Community
      and Environment is an offence. Infringements can be issued.
    • The owner is responsible to ensure control of livestock, whilst minimising hazards to persons, animals and property.
    • Appropriate precautions are taken to ensure that no damage occurs to road surfaces, furniture, drains, culverts, bridges and private entrance ways or to trees and shrubs growing within the road reserve and that erosion is not caused by excessive grazing. In the event that livestock are causing damage including where overgrazing occurs, they are removed from the road reserve.
    • Signs conforming with guidelines prepared by VicRoads and referred to in the Road Safety Road Rules 2009 are in place.
    • An Inspector of the Department of Primary Industries or relevant authority administering the Livestock Disease Control Act 1994 is notified if the person in charge of livestock becomes aware or suspects that livestock (or any of them) have a disease or has died of a disease listed as a notifiable disease under the Act.
    • Permit Holder is to observe and comply with the Livestock Disease Control Act 1994 and the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 1986 and any other Acts and Regulations relating to this activity.
    • Failure to comply with any of the above conditions could result in this permit being cancelled and/or penalties as prescribed in the Local Law.

  • Personal information collected by Council is used for municipal purposes as specified in the Local Government Act, 2020 or other relevant legislation.
